- 3M™ Scotch® Super 33+ Black 7 mil Vinyl Electrical Insulating Tape measuring 3/4" X 52' features pressure-sensitive rubber based adhesive for good instant adhesion. Insulating tape with flexible PVC backing for easy conformation to irregular surfaces and is ideal for indoor or outdoor applications. It has a maximum operating temperature of 176 deg F and voltage rating of 600 V. Flame retardant insulating tape can be stretched 250% for breaking. Electrically insulating tape is adhesive on one-side. It offers good resistance to abrasion, alkalis, acids, moisture, corrosion and varying weather conditions. Tape provides insulation to all wires and cables. It features combination of elastic backing and aggressive adhesive that produce moisture-tight electrical as well as mechanical protection with less bulk. It is compatible with solid dielectric cable insulation and rubber, synthetic splicing compounds, epoxy as well as polyurethane resins. It gives good mechanical properties such as tensile strength of 15 lb/in and has 1150 V/mil dielectric strength. It renders protective jacketing for high voltage cable splices and repairs. Tape meets UL and CSA standards.
