- Norton® NORZON PLUS™ Saucer Grinding Wheel of 9" Dia is ideal for all weld and flame cut grinding, petrochemical maintenance, shipbuilding, storage tank, steel and non steel metal fabrication, pipeline notching or beveling applications and is used with right angle grinder on steel or stainless steel materials. Grinding wheel of thickness 1/4" is able to rotate at 6600 RPM using 5/8"-11 arbors for delivering excellent performance from gray iron to exotic alloys and is made from aluminum oxide, zirconia alumina with new bonding system for enhanced durability. Type 28 grinding wheel with easy on the operator features a patented combination of NorZon and Zirconia SG grain blend for 50 percent better cut rate and offers free cutting with minimum vibration having no work piece bouncing. Depressed centered wheel with exceptional balance has 9 times the life of aluminum oxide with up to 2 times the life of competitive zirconia aluminum oxide and less operator fatigue, sold as 10 per pack.
